The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

Retired JFRD Lieutenant J.H. "Howard" Salter passed away Saturday January 30, 2021.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Celebration will be held at the Gardenview Baptist Church, 3139 Armsdale Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218. Howard held many assignments in his career with his last being Marine 1. Most of his peers will remember his service at the Jacksonville Fireman’s Credit Union where he was known for his trademark smile and kind and helpful attitude. Please join your Board of Directors in keeping Howard’s family and friends in your prayers during their time of loss. Thank you Howard for your kindness and devoted service, may you Rest In Peace.
