Retired JFRD Engineer James E. Bubba Bennett, 84, of Baldwin, passed away on April 18, 2015. He was hired in 1955 and retired in 1980 after being assigned to Engine 4 for many years.
Funeral services were held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 97 Center St., Baldwin, FL with Pastor Chris Drum officiating.
The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment follow edat Brandy Branch Cemetery.
"Bubba" was born in Sanderson, FL to William & Minnie Bennett. He was the owner and
operator of Everybody s Restaurant in Baldwin. Mr. Bennett served in the U.S. Air
Force and He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bennett; son, Terry Bennett
and a sister, Mable Bennett. Survivors include his daughter, Cindi Barber (husband,
John); granddaughter, Melissa Barber; sister, Evelyn Johnson of Melrose and several
