The Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association sadly reports that JFRD Retired Lt. Donald Kreitzman passed away January 25, 2017.

Donald Oliver Kreitzman, Jr., age 56, died following a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tania, sons, Gary (Alisha) of Hinesville, GA and Greg, father, Donald, Sr., brothers, Danny (Debbie), David (Geraldine), all of Jacksonville, FL.; sister, Beth Jameson (Tim) of Fernandina Beach, FL and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Ruth Kreitzman. Donald retired after 25 years with JFRD as a Lieutenant on Engine 32. Other than his family, his first love was the JFRD. He was also employed by Century Ambulance Service from 1981 to current, with an employee ID number of “2”. He played many roles during his 35 years at Century including the most recent, Director of IT. Donald loved to cook and travel the world with his wife, Tania. A memorial service was held on Monday, January 30th at 11am at the Fireman’s Union Hall, 618 Stockton Street. The family received friends beginning at 10am.
