POWELL William Franklin Powell 'Frank', 87 passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Powell was a long time resident of Jacksonville and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the Jacksonville Fire Department after 40 years service and was the owner of AAA Fire Extinguisher Company for 35 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mary Powell in 1993 and his son, William Richard Powell in 2005. Survivors include his companion ,Norann Webb; daughter, Sandra Watson (Ken); son, Jim Powell (Patty); grandchildren, Kristy Shields (AJ), James Powell, Jr.(Leighann), Brooke Webb ; great grandchildren, Myha and Mackenzie Powell and Sierra Patton Shields. Funeral services with honors by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, 2:00 PM in the chapel of JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Family and friends will visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 5 until 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in Frank's memory to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32057.
