Bill Spivey SPIVEY Bill Spivey, 74, of Middleburg, died at his home on June 4, 2009. Bill was born in Jacksonville to Wilbur and Alma Spivey. Bill retired as Captain from the Jacksonville Fire Department after 27 years of service. Many years were spent at station 31.Upon his retirement in 1988, Bill followed his dream with his loving wife and closest friend Sharon Anne Spivey. Together they traveled extensively enjoying the outdoors and making new friends everywhere they journeyed. While home in Middleburg Bill followed his third greatest passion fishing with brother Fred. He will be deeply missed by his bride of 35 years, Sharon Anne Spivey; daughter Beth Anne Quarg of San Diego, CA.; sons William Albert Spivey, Jr. of Jacksonville, Donald Richard Spivey of Glen St. Mary; sisters Gwen McLeod and Caroline Ryals; brothers Fred Spivey and Drew Spivey, nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and his truest friend Molly. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Michael David and daughter Melody Diane Capece. A memorial service were held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fl. 32073. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice at 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, Fl. 32257. A special thank you is extended to Rev. J.O. McLeod (Bill's brother-in- law) for helping all those left to honor the memory of Bill Spivey.
