William Harold Steinmeyer
Steinmeyer – William Harold Steinmeyer, age 74, of Lawtey, Florida passed away August 5, 2012 at Shands Starke. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 19, 1938 to the late John Henry Steinmeyer, Sr. and Evelyn Ives-Steinmeyer. Harold was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lawtey and was very active as a youth leader in the church. Harold also served his country in the United States Army and as a retired Engineer with the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department from Station 10. Harold was also a talented piano player and was a great cook. Among his hobbies were fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Steinmeyer.

He is survived by his children, David (Debbie) Harold Steinmeyer of Lawtey, FL, Lori (Michael) Elizabeth Blackwood of Barnwell, South Carolina, and Lynn (Rob) Norine Hines of Jacksonville, FL; brother, John “Jack” (Joyce) Henry Steinmeyer, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn (Frank) Brubaker and Dorothy Steinmeyer; 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Thompson officiating. Interment  followed at Kingsley Lake Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements were under the care and direction of ARCHIE TANNER FUNERAL SERVICES, Starke, FL. 904-964-5757.
