Lynda Keane is the wife of John Keane, Retired JFRD pension administrator.

Lynda Keane Obituary

On December 17th, 2023, after a brief illness, our Lord wrapped His loving arms around Lynda and carried her to her eternal home with Him.

Her love and commitment to her family was profound. She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, John, loving daughters Garnet Griffin (Chris) and Kristy Hayes (Chuck), and her cherished granddaughters Alyson Hayes and Madison Hayes, who brought immense happiness and pride to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James O. Parham and Hazel Parham, and her brother, James O. Parham, Jr.

Lynda was born in Jacksonville on October 10, 1946. She graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1964. She embarked on a successful career with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office as an Emergency Communications Officer. She was a dedicated employee who took pride in her duties, recognizing the importance of communicating all available information for the safety of the responding officers. After retiring as a sergeant from JSO, she served in the Office of the Chief Judge and Clerk of Courts.

She attended St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Jacksonville, where she found solace and spiritual nourishment and humbly drew strength from her relationship with God.

Lynda's life will be celebrated at the Firefighter Memorial Hall at 601 Stockton St., on January 26th, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210.

She will be inurned at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
