The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

Retired JFRD Captain Harry Beckham passed away Thursday June 14, 2018.

Captain Beckham was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He retired from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, after serving faithfully for 49 years, rising to the rank of Captain. He was an active member of the Retired Fireman's Assn. and was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and they have so many great memories. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, the late Mary "Bonnie" Beckham. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Virginia Beckham; 4 sons, Kevin Beckham (Pamela), Walter Beckham, Bobby Henley and Steve Henley; Granddaughter, Gracyn Barclay and 12 other grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.A viewing was held Monday June 18, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral was held Tuesday June 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Both viewing and funeral were held at George Hewell Funeral Home

Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery.
